This position is an opportunity to participate in an 10-week strength and conditioning/sport science internship with a private strength and conditioning facility working with a range of sports and athletes from an amateur to a professional level.
The internship will require 10+ hours of face-to-face learning with flexible hours and an extra compulsory 2h educational seminar every Monday afternoon.
Practical sessions will include one-on-one, small group, and team environment settings.
This is an unpaid role with the benefits of observing and developing skills in areas of coaching, program design and implementation, performance testing, data collection and analysis, as well as injury risk management and end stage rehabilitation.

Play Performance is a private high performance facility located in the Northern Beaches of Sydney. We specialise in improving athlete performance, reducing injury risk, and aiding in athlete rehab and recovery through evidence-based systems. Practical hours for ASCA or undergraduate accreditations
Qualifications required and/or Desirable
Desirable that the applicant holds or is currently working towards completing an ASCA level 1 S&C Coaching Accreditation or undergraduate in exercise sport science
Desirable that the applicant has previous coaching experience preferably in a strength and conditioning environment
Duties and Responsibilities
Observation, learning, training and skill development for athletes and teams in the areas of:
Setting up and organisation of sessions
Performance testing, data analysis, and reporting using the latest sport science technology
Strength and Conditioning programming and use of software such as Teamuildr, Vald Hub, and Excel
Coaching and Communication
Injury prevention and management
Recovery principles
